The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey




J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic adventure follows the journey of Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an amazing quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Sorcerers.

I went to see The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in the theater, the only thing that disappointed me was that it's a two (or three) part-er, usually if something has a sequel I hold off to see it because I hate to wait an entire year to see the next movie. The special effects were great and the relationships that develop throughout the movie are touching. One of the best parts about this movie was the music, I'm a sucker for deep folk type songs, it made me want to run out and buy the soundtrack and now that I think about it I'll probably download it now :D
 
I am AMAZED at how quickly this movie came out on DVD and Blu-Ray, wasn't The Hobbit JUST in theaters in December? I remember when it used to take movies a year to come out on VHS (sshhhh I'm not that old, I'm only 26!).
