HappyHeartMom® Car Child Safety Seat Belt Adjuster Pad Review

I requested to review the HappyHeartMom® Car Child Safety Seat Belt Adjuster Pad because my daughter (6) hates seat belts, they land right on the side of her neck, rubbing and cutting her. So if I could take that annoyance and pain away from her by trying a new product, I'm good with that.

This product is very easy to put on the seat belt, just unsnap the snap, pull the seat belt through, and re-snap the snap, bam done, no directions required.

My daughter loves it because the seat belt no longer rests on her throat and I love it because she's no longer begging to put the belt behind her back. The seat belt adjuster pad pulls the seat belt down and slightly away, alleviating the uncomfortable set belt rub, but still providing full seat belt protection.

The only downfall that I found, is that it slips down and covers the top buckle, making it very hard for my daughter to buckle her own seat belt, otherwise it's perfect.

I would fully recommend this product to anyone who has a child that uses a seat belt.

I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for an honest review, my opinions are my own.

First Aid Kit Review

I requested to review a first aid kit from Protect Life. I'm the type of person who is paranoid something will happen, so it helps me rest easy when I have a first aid kit handy. The kit I keep in my car is just one I put together at home, so it doesn't have much in it; I plan to replace the one I made with the one I'm reviewing.

The first aid kit from Protect Life is small, light weight, and packed to the brim in a sturdy canvas case. Since it's so small I plan to keep it under the front seat of my car, it probably could fit in some glove boxes, but mine is too jam pack with junk.

I didn't go through the description before I ordered it, so was pleasantly surprised to see how much was inside this tiny package. What you'll find inside:
  • Antiseptic cleansing wipes (6 pcs)
  • Alcohol prep pad (10 pcs)
  • Butterfly closure strips (10 pcs)
  • Extra large adhesive bandage (4 pcs)
  • Adhesive bandage (25 pcs)
  • Knuckle adhesive bandage (4 pcs)
  • Fingertip adhesive bandage (8 pcs)
  • Gauze swab (3 pcs)
  • 1 Disposable cold compress
  • First aid tape (1 roll)
  • Cotton tip applicator (20 pcs)
  • 1 Abdominal pad
  • Disposable vinyl gloves (1 pair)
  • 1 Slim rescue howler whistle
  • 1 Button Compass Liquid filled
  • 1 Moleskin blister relief
  • 1 Triangular bandage
  • 1 Emergency blanket
  • 1 Glow stick
  • 1 Disposable raincoat
  • 1 Scissors
  • PBT conforming bandage 5 x 3.6 cm (1 roll)
  • 1 CPR face mask
  • 1 Metal tweezers
  • Eye pad (2 pcs)
  • Elbow/knee bandage (2 pcs)
  • Safety pins (4 pcs)
  • Sting relief pads (2 pcs).
I would recommend this first aid kit to anyone who is looking for a kit for their car, boat, or saddlebags. It's also decently priced, especially if you go and try to buy all medical individually at a store.

Cetaphil® Moisturizing Cream Review

I live in Vermont, where the winters are dry and harsh, especially on skin. I also work as a document preservationist, the documents are usually filthy, touched by numerous unwashed hands for centuries, so I'm constantly washing my hands throughout the day. The results of a harsh winter and many hand washings? Chapped, spotted, dry hands. They hurt and become unsightly if left untreated for too long.

So, when I received Cetaphil® Moisturizing Cream free of charge in exchange for my unbiased opinion from Influenster, I brought the sample to work. I keep it in my desk, so that after I wash my hands I can apply some to my skin.

Some of the perks to Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream are that it's non-greasy, which is great because leaving grease stains on irreplaceable documents is a big no-no, plus it absorbs and alleviates the burning feeling of dry skin rather quickly. It's also great for sensitive skin, I dab a little on my face now and then when I develop a dry, flaky area.

I'd recommend this Moisturizing Cream to those who need a little relief from the effects of dry skin.

KISS Lashes Review

I received KISS True Volume Lashes and KISS Strip Lash Adhesive (black) free from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinions.
Kiss Strip Lash Adhesive with Aloe - 58325 Black

So, this was the first ever using/applying fake lashes and it was special to say the least. It started simple enough:

Step 1: Just put the adhesive on to the lashes, okay done.

Step 2: Put the lashes slightly above your eyelashes, not so much as to make it look like you have 2 sets of eyelashes, but to blend in with your eyelashes. You got it. Wait, what? How???!!!! It was touch and go I can tell you that. The outside of my eye fine, no problem, inside not so much, it doesn't curve that way! Applying these lovely lashes took a few tries, but hey once they were on, that was it.

In the end I used a little bit more adhesive then probably necessary, but since it was black and just looked like liquid eyeliner, if there was any gaps in it, I just filled it in with actual eyeliner. They looked really nice once they were on.

Taking them off was much easier then putting them on. I just peeled them off and wiped away the adhesive. No staining, no eyelash pulling.

I definitely wouldn't wear false eyelashes every day, but on special occasions, totally. I would recommend both products I tried. You can find KISS false eyelashes for under $4 and KISS Strip Lash Adhesive for around $15 at Walmart.
