Vermont Sundae Sauce Company Review and Giveaway

For the past few months I've been attempting to contact Vermont based companies about writing a review for their products, but sadly I haven't heard back from any of them until now when Bobbie, from Vermont Sundae Sauce Company, responded to my correspondence almost immediately. Needless to say I was very excited for this review opportunity because I love being able to share my state with other people (and I have a wicked sweet tooth).

Bobbie sent me two jars of her sundae sauces to review, an 8oz jar of Hot Fudge Heaven (her Grandmother's recipe) and a 2oz jar of the PB Mud Fudge (a blend of peanut butter and hot fudge). Upon receiving them, I knew they didn't stand a chance because I didn't have any other chocolate in my house.

I opened the PB Mud Fudge first and after four spoonfuls, I had to FORCE myself to stop, since I could see the bottom of the jar. This flavor is WONDERFUL, EXTRAORDINARY, FANTASTIC, ECSTASY, and any other pleasurable words you can think of; never have I tried a fudge sauce so mouth wateringly superb. It's very smooth, thick, and creamy, with a strong peanut butter flavor and a hint of chocolate. I made sure to save some of the fudge sauce, so that I could do this review with it fresh on my mind, needless to say I finished it off and all but licked the jar clean.

The Hot Fudge Heaven was next and did not disappoint, I polished half the jar off in one sitting (I couldn't help myself!) and was reluctant to give my daughter nibbles here and there. Like the PB Mud Fudge it was just as smooth, thick, and creamy. To me it tasted like it had a hint of Mocha in it, but Bobbie assured me that it didn't, it's still the best hot fudge sundae sauce I've ever had (aside from the PBMF). I couldn't bring myself to put it on ice cream because I didn't want to taint the sauce with any other flavor, so I was "forced" to eat it by the spoonful and to make it easier on myself I used one of my daughters baby spoons, thinking it might slow me down...I was wrong, you'd be surprised how much you can load onto one of those tiny spoons, lol.

I know it's a little early to be talking about Christmas, but I told my husband that all I want for Christmas is a body pillow and 2 jars of the PB Mud Fudge, lol, true story, I'm easy to please.

Aside from how fantastic Bobbie's sauces are, another thing I like about her company is how she helps support her state by using fresh cream from local dairies and as many Vermont products she can to make them. Bobbie sells her sauces for $3.95 (2oz jar) and $7.50 (8oz jar), that come in the flavors of:
  • Peanut Butter Mud Fudge
  • Hot Fudge Heaven
  • Butter Rum
  • Chocolate Raspberry
  • Maple Caramel
  • and Chocolate Champagne
Also available are "Cup" Cakes, Double Chocolate Cookie Mixes, Cake Mixes, Syrups, and Gift Baskets. To place an order call Bobbie Denny at 802.483.6024 and checkout her website or find her on Facebook.

Vermont Sundae Sauce Company has also given me permission to give away TWO (2) jars of sundae sauce, the winners will receive an 8oz jar of their choice! Enter using the rafflecopter form below for your chance to win, the giveaway will end September 18th.

I was given two sauces to try and review, in no way did this alter my perception of this product or company, my thoughts and opinions are my own.
