How to make an Ornament
That will save you money and make a perfect gift
and cherished memory
Ingredients:
- 1/2 c of salt
- 1/2c of Flour
- 1/4 water (give or take)
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients together. If you need to add more water, do so slowly, in the end I added a smidge too much and it became a little too sticky
- Knead until dough forms
*I doubled up on the ingrediants to make this much dough*
- Then there are a few ways you can go with this:
- One being use cookie cutters to cut out the shapes you desire, I used ones I bought on clearance at Walmart last year after Christmas
- Two being you can press a child's hand (or foot) into the dough, then cut out the hand shape with a knife leaving a border around it
- The next step is to cut a hole at what will be the top of the ornament (you can use a knife or press a straw into it to create the hole)
- Bake at 300F for 2 hrs
- Paint when cooled (you can seal it with clear gloss spray paint if you'd like)
- Loop a ribbon through the hole you created
- And hang or gift :)
